(I know that title is cheesy but you clicked on it so I guess it worked…).
Yesterday, my friend said ‘I want to earn more money, and I want to lose weight.’ Great! You have a want. That’s a good place to start. It is important to know what you want so that you can strive for something. But that will never happen unless he implements the advice that Chris Do, CEO of Blind Creative Agency, advises to follow.
Here is a breakdown of what he says:
Goals need to be smart. That means:
S – Specific
M – Measurable
A – Actionable
R – Realistic
T – Timebound
Saying ‘I want to earn more money, and I want to lose weight,’ is vague and not a goal that you can achieve without setting some parameters. Here is the ‘I want to earn more money,’ part with these parameters.
‘I want to earn £1000 doing freelance work by 1st August 2019 by making one phone call every day to a prospective client.’ Much improved don’t you think?
Set yourself some goals and you will be much closer to achieving your aims. There’s no time like the present so why not do that today?
